FEATURED NOVEL

The Alchemy Hour

The Alchemy Hour is a provocative exploration of love, desire, identity, and the stories people tell themselves about who they are supposed to be. It asks what happens when the life carefully constructed around certainty begins to collide with truths that refuse to fit neatly into familiar definitions. At once intimate and emotionally charged, the novel explores the elusive nature of self-understanding, the difference between loving someone and trying to change them, and the unexpected ways relationships can become catalysts for both liberation and upheaval. Ultimately, The Alchemy Hour asks a deeply human question: What happens when love challenges everything you believe about who you are?

The Alchemy Hour

Some relationships transform us while others break us.

Dr. Helena has built a public life as one of America’s most trusted voices on relationships, although in her private life she struggles with loneliness and the absence of a lasting romance.

Dodge calls Dr. Helena’s show seeking her guidance and subsequently enters therapy with her. Over the next seven months, she helps him become the man he thinks he wants to be.

After Helena abruptly terminates his therapy, she invites Dodge to co-write her next book and their collaboration crosses a professional boundary.

For Helena, the relationship represents a second chance at romance. For Dodge, it offers both emotional intimacy and the creative opportunity he has long pursued.
